Indonesia-Relief.Org is established in early March 2005 to expand our works in providing news and report on Indonesia tsunami disaster relief, and in accordance with transition from relief to rehabilitation and reconstruction phase of Aceh and North Sumatra. Since early tsunami, the news used to be provided as a special section at Endonesia.Net.
Aside from providing tsunami news and reports in English, we also provide similar news and reports in Indonesian language as a special section at Endonesia.com, a portal site with news and Indonesia website directory.
Manned by Indonesian journalists, volunteers, and social workers who have involved in Aceh and North Sumatra tsunami relief effort, Indonesia-Relief.Org has strong intention to keep working on the following humanitarian news and information:
Provide latest update on Indonesia tsunami relief, rehabilitation, reconstruction efforts;
Monitoring the progress of rehabilitation and reconstruction effort;
Provide background, references, and related information regarding Indonesia tsunami and affected areas;
Promoting and keep an eye on transparency and accountability of aid distribution and allocation to tsunami devastated zone and its affected population;
Become documentation centre, library, and clearing house on Indonesian tsunami;
No body perfect. Allow us to share our idea, opinion and suggestion on what to do in tsunami affected zones;
Alerting on another, or the next, disaster and humanitarian issues in Indonesia;
